Dancing Lobster restaurant design: an award-winning concept

As almost 80% of the restaurant’s ingredients come from the ocean, the main goal in designing the Dancing Lobster interior was to support the specifics of the fish through design elements.

The four areas of the restaurant, the entrance, the dining area, the VIP lounge and the kitchen, were created in order to offer customers a special experience, for which to return to Dancing Lobster.

The central point of the main dining area is the set of sofas (and perforated panels) that separate the space, leading to the presence of a lobster on the sand in the depths of the ocean. The sloping blue ceiling, 3 to 8 meters high and the reflections of the tiled walls create the feeling of floating in the ocean. The Portuguese specificity is represented by the Azulejo tiles on the floor and the traditional vessels that partially separate the open-space kitchen from the main dining area.
